Private lessons are a collaborative effort between student and teacher.
Private lessons are perfect for people who wish to study intensively alone or at their own pace. These lessons are great for all skill levels and can be tailored to fit the specific needs of any student. Italian School NJ assigns the instructors considering many aspects of the student but the student can also choose an instructor that may fit its own preference. Lesson content, day and time can be arranged according to your request.
Lessons can be held in-person

At Italian School NJ, we understand everybody’s busy schedule. Having the option of taking the lesson in person or online makes learning Italian flexible and accessible to fit anyone’s needs while offering great learning material and highly qualified staff for both online and in person options. Online lessons are taught in real time with a teacher. Thanks to our on-line lesson program, you will still be able to enjoy your one-on-one personalized Italian lessons wherever you are.

Italian School NJ has many highly qualified instructors, some of whom currently teach or have taught at high school (public and private) and/or College level. Our instructors are professionals, carefully chosen and trained by our expert director although familiar with multiple teaching methods. At Italian School NJ we train the teachers to take a spherical approach to instruction, which allows students a unique opportunity to engage in every aspect of the Italian language.

Lessons are held in-person at our office in East Hanover.

Private lessons are designed to be 60 minute long sessions but if a student wishes to have 90 minute sessions we can offer that at a prorated tuition.

Individual Private Lessons - In Person
Packages available:
Single trial private in person lesson (60 minute each)- $85
Package of 4 private in person lessons (60 minute each)- $330
Package of 8 private in person lessons (60 minute each)- $645
Package of 12 private in person lessons (60 minute each)- $955
Private lessons tuition is based on a 60 minute long session. If a student wishes to have a 90minute session the cost will be prorated.
Please note that if a student purchases a trial class and then decides to go forward with the lessons, the tuition paid for the trial class will be counted toward the package purchased

Private lessons in person at our office are available only before 6:00pm. If you need private lessons after 6:00pm please check our online private lessons option.
Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy:
A 24-hour notice is required to cancel or reschedule an upcoming lesson. Lessons can be cancelled or rescheduled by notifying the teacher directly. If less than 24 hours’ notice is given, the lesson will be charged in full.
