Give your child the opportunity to learn Italian in a fun, engaging, and structured environment. Italian School NJ offers Italian classes for children ages 3 and up, available online and in person at our East Hanover location, 49 Ridgedale Avenue, East Hanover, NJ.
Our programs are designed to support children at every stage of learning, with options including group classes, private instruction, tutoring, and family lessons. Through play-based activities, interaction, and guided instruction, students build confidence while developing strong Italian language skills.

Many ongoing classes are available and can be joined with the teacher’s approval.
Please note that placement in any class other than a New Beginner class must be approved by our administration through testing. New classes can start anytime we have a minimum of four students signed up for the same class.

Italian School NJ offers many class options for children ages 3 and up, including 2-hour Saturday in-person classes, 1.5-hour weekday in-person sessions, 1-hour online classes, and private or family lessons.
Students are grouped by age and school grade and can attend one of three learning levels:

HIGH SCHOOL TUTORING & AP PREP
Our highly qualified instructors, including current and former high school and college teachers, provide support for Italian courses and AP Italian exam preparation. We can help with overall grades, test preparation, or difficult topics, offering a well-rounded approach to learning Italian.
For students interested in intensive AP prep, small group courses can be arranged to aim for a 4 or 5 on the exam.
Tuition for Individual Tutoring:
$90 — 1-hour session
$130 — 1.5-hour session
Payment is required in advance for at least 4 lessons. A 24-hour notice is required to cancel any upcoming lesson.
Semester Schedule :
Fall semester: September 13 – December 6 (no class November 29)
Winter semester: December 8 – March 21 (no class December 27, January 3, February 14)
Spring semester: March 28 – June 13 (no class April 4 & May 23)

Classes are held at: 49 Ridgedale Avenue, East Hanover, NJ
- Ongoing classes can start anytime with teacher approval.
- New classes form with a minimum of 4 students; if fewer enroll, alternative arrangements may apply.
- Students are grouped by age, grade, skill level, and Italian proficiency, with placement adjustments made by staff as needed.
